8th grade term II news
Week 1- Students are to design an idea of their ceramic project on paper. This design needs to incorporate a hollow sphere of clay. Design should be all-around. Sphere can be slightly altered. Try for additive and subtractive in design. Attach any reference pictures. For final grade, adding color will help your effort. Plan Due: Friday, October 18.
In addition to drawing a plan, students should find a photograph of a landscape or seascape in color. The photo could be from the internet, magazine, own photo etc. The photo should be at least 5 x 7 inches large. Photo due by October 23rd. If student wants teacher to print it in color, they should put it in Google Drawings and size it appropriately. Please put name and hour right on the drawing(photo). Share with the teacher: [email protected]. Otherwise students may print in the LMC or at home.

Understanding how your eyes mix the colors from a distance with this style of painting. Vocab: Impressionism, Pointillism, Van Gogh, and Seurat.
Assignment: When landscape is complete, students will write the following in a Google document.
